- Measurements
- How should I measure my systems?
The measurement instructions can be found at the bottom of each product page under the tab "measurement". Be sure to read the notes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
- Do you also come to take measurements?
We do not have a measurement service. The measurement instructions can be found at the bottom of every product page. If you have any questions, you can always contact us. For example, you can send us a picture of your window, on which we can make a note and give you concrete measurement instructions.
- What if I have made a mistake during measuring?
Unfortunately it is not possible to change or return the systems, as everything is custom made. You can always contact customer service so we can look for a solution together.
- Samples
- How much does it cost to send samples?
Samples will be sent to you completely free of charge. We recommend that you always order samples from us so that you can be sure of your choice.
- How many samples can I order?
Please note that we can send a maximum of 15 samples per request. If you are not immediately convinced, you can always order samples again.
- How long does it take to receive the samples?
All samples are sent by post within 24 hours (on working days).
- Do I have to be at home to receive the samples?
The samples fit in a standard mailbox, so you do not have to be at home to receive them.
- Ordering
- Can I still change my order?
After placing your order, you still have 1 day to make changes. After this period, changes are generally no longer possible.
- I have not received an e-mail confirmation of my order.
It is best to check whether our e-mail has not ended up in the unwanted or spam folder. If you still haven't received anything, you can contact our customer service. We will then check whether we have received your order correctly.
- Products: general
- What is included with my system?
We supply all the necessities for your systems. All systems include mounting brackets and a Child Safety support. We do not only provide screws and plugs, as we do not know in which material they will be installed. However, you can always order an additional set of screws and bits for horizontal slats.
- Are screws and plugs supplied with the systems?
As standard, we do not supply screws and plugs with our systems, as we do not know in which material they are installed. You can, however, order these for horizontal slats. You can choose this at available options.
- Which system insulates best?
The more natural and thicker the material, the better the system will insulate. For example, wood and bamboo insulate better than aluminium and PVC. Darkening fabrics will insulate better than translucent fabrics, etc. In terms of colour, white will reflect sunlight while black will absorb sunlight.
- Which systems are suitable for a bathroom?
Almost all systems are suitable for a bathroom as long as it is sufficiently ventilated. It is best to choose polyester (roller blinds, folding blinds and vertical blinds) or aluminium or PVC as these can withstand some moisture. PVC should not be hung in a room that is too warm so that the slats do not bend.
Wood and bamboo can also be used, but you must ensure that the slats do not get wet. They can withstand splashing water but if the slat gets wet in the core and then dries up again, you run the risk of torsion. With larger systems this is more visible than with smaller systems.
- Products: roller blinds
- I am looking for a fabric you can still see through (or not). How can I know this?
Roller blinds fabrics are given certain values to determine the fabric properties. You can find these values under "colour specifications" on the product page. We determine this on the basis of RAT values (reflection, absorption, transmission):
The higher the light reflection, the more sunlight is reflected or reflected, the better the heat resistance.
The higher the absorption, the more light (and heat) the fabric will absorb. This heat is more likely to remain trapped between the window and the fabric. The fabric will also light up more with a high degree of absorption.
The higher the light transmission, the more light and heat the fabric will let through, the more transparent the fabric will be. (0% = darkening)
- Products: vertical louvers
- I am looking for a fabric you can still see through (or not). How can I know this?
Vertical louvers fabrics are given certain values to determine the fabric properties. You can find these values under "colour specifications" on the product page. We determine this on the basis of RAT values (reflection, absorption, transmission):
- The higher the light reflection, the more sunlight is reflected or reflected, the better the heat resistance.
- The higher the absorption, the more light (and heat) the fabric will absorb. This heat is more likely to remain trapped between the window and the fabric. The fabric will also light up more with a high degree of absorption.
- The higher the light transmission, the more light and heat the fabric will let through, the more transparent the fabric will be. (0% = darkening)
- Do you also sell vertical PVC slats?
We do not sell vertical PVC slats. They make a lot of noise during operation and are damaged much faster. They are also more difficult to replace. Our vertical textile slats are much more durable, insulate better and are available in a wide range of fabrics.
- What is supplied with vertical slats?
In addition to the rail and the slats themselves, you will also receive fixing supports, a Child-Safety support, slat weights and a connection chain for the bottom. Screws are not provided as we do not know in which material you install the system.
- Products: horizontal slats
- What is the difference between wood and bamboo?
Wooden slats are lime wood slats with a varnish layer with a flat finish. Bamboo slats are coloured in a colour bath and are slats with a visible wood grain.
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of each material?
- PVC: budget solution, suitable for the bathroom, not suitable for large surfaces (>4m²).
- Wood: tight finish, insulates better
- Bamboo: natural look through the visible wood grain, insulates better
- Aluminium: sleek finish, suitable for the bathroom, suitable for large surfaces (>10m²), small package height
- What slat width should I choose?
Narrow slat = a lot of privacy, less light, more slats
Wide slat = a lot of light, less privacy, fewer slats
Just make the following checklist to decide which slats to choose:
- Do I want lots of light?
- Is privacy an important factor?
- Do I have a panoramic view that I want to keep?
- Do I want many or few blinds?
- Do I place the slats on the window, or in the daytime? (installation space)
- Should I opt for ladder straps or ladder cords?
This depends entirely on your personal preference. The operation and robustness of the system remains the same. Ladder straps stand out more and are available in different colours and widths.
- I have ordered ladder straps but don't like them, can I change this?
If you want to change this, we have to pick up the system to replace the ladder straps with cords. Contact our customer service department to find out the cost price.
- When should I choose side guidance?
If you want to attach a horizontal system to a door or tilting window, side guidance is a good idea. The side guide ensures that the system moves less when opening and closing a window or door. The side rail/steel wire is fixed at the bottom by supports. You can choose between an L-support for outside mounting (e.g. on the window frame) or a flat support for inside mounting (e.g. between the glazing beads).
- Which supports should I choose?
This depends on how you will install the systems. The universal supports can be mounted either against the ceiling or against the wall. If you are sure that you will mount your system against the ceiling, it is best to choose ceiling mounting. With the distance supports, you can take your system some distance from the wall (12 or 19 mm). This can be useful when your system comes in front of a skirting or panelling or for 65mm slats.
A valance is a cover strip (in wood, bamboo or PVC, depending on the system) that is placed on the aluminium upper part by magnets. For inside installation, it is generally best to choose a simple valance (straight without sides), for outside installation a valance with sides. The valance is always slightly longer than the system itself.
- Can I shorten or lengthen the cords of horizontal slats?
This is possible but make sure that the slats are ALWAYS down if you do this. If the cords are too long when pulled up, you can attach the cords to the child safety support supplied. If in doubt, please contact customer service. Lengthening the cords at home isn’t possible.
- Can I order a purchase valance afterwards?
Yes, you can. Please contact our customer service department for this.
- Payments
- Can I pay afterwards or in instalments?
As all systems are tailor-made, we ask for full prepayment.
- I’m failing to pay my order.
Try another payment method or pay by bank transfer. Urgent? Please contact our customer service department.
- Do you also have gift vouchers?
Yes, we do! Just send an email to our customer service with the amount, from whom the gift comes and to whom you want to send it. Then we will add the gift card to your shopping cart or pay the gift card by bank transfer.
- Delivery
What is the delivery time of my order?
As soon as we have received payment for your order, we will send you an email to confirm that we will start production. At this point, you have one last chance to change your order if necessary. As soon as your order is ready, you will receive an email from us confirming shipment. The production time is +- 3 weeks: 10 to 12 or 12 to 14 working days production time (depending on the product) + 2 to 4 working days before shipment. When a colour is out of stock, the production time only starts when the colour is back in stock. You will be informed if this causes the production time to increase. You can always ask our customer service for the status of your order. This can be done via +32 56 90 66 77 or via e-mail at info@lattestore.be.
- How will my order be delivered?
All orders are delivered during office hours by Ontime, UPS or Bpost. Orders must be signed off upon receipt. After your order has been presented to the relevant carrier from our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation via e-mail. In this e-mail, you will find the 'Track & Trace' number of your delivery so that you can track your shipment online. The transport companies will drop by between 08.00 and 19.00 hours and will always make 3 attempts to deliver your order. After each attempt, we will contact you to schedule a new delivery time. Orders delivered by Bpost will be taken to a collection point in your absence. If there are special items that we have to take into account for delivery, you can always mention this in the remarks of your order.
- What if I am not at home during the delivery of my order?
When your systems are ready for shipment, you will receive an email from us with an estimated delivery date. You will also receive an email from our carrier with more information about the delivery and the expected delivery date.
If this date does not suit you, you can always contact us to specify another date.
If you are not present at the delivery, we will contact you to arrange a new time for delivery.
Here are a few things you can take into account for the delivery:
- You can specify a preferred time (AM or PM). Our carrier will try to take this into account as much as possible.
- You can choose a specific day.
- You can also have the parcel delivered to an alternative address (neighbours, work...).
- You can also ask the carrier to notify you one hour before delivery if you are in the area and can go home for a while.
- You can also ask the carrier to place the parcel in a sheltered place such as under a carport, in the garden shed, under a shelter... We do not recommend this immediately because you will not be able to check your parcel immediately for damage.
You can write these things down in the remarks of your order or give us a call or e-mail to inform us about the delivery.
- What if there is damage upon delivery?
If, upon delivery, you notice damage to the packaging, you must open the packaging on the spot and check whether the products are damaged. In case of damage to the systems, you will need to draw up a damage file with the driver. Please also take some photos of the damaged products and mail them to info@lattestore.be stating your order number.
- How much will be charged for shipping?
The shipping costs will be calculated automatically for you when you order the systems. This cost depends on the size of your order. For a standard order, the shipping costs are +-19€, regardless of the number of systems and the set delivery address. Lattestore cooperates with transport partners that specialise in longitudinal transport, so we are forced to charge some of these costs.
- Why don't you offer free shipping?
The parcels we send are much larger than standard postal packages, which means that they cannot be delivered with a standard delivery service. All our systems are delivered at home with special length transport. This is a lot more expensive and therefore we are forced to charge part of this cost to the customer.
- Installation
- How do I install my system?
You can always find the installation instructions on the installation page, on each product page under the installation tab and via the link you received in the delivery e-mail.
- Is a manual supplied with the systems?
In the e-mail you receive from us concerning the delivery, you can find a link which will direct you to the online manual. A manual on paper is not included in your package.
- I want to attach my system to the window frame but do not want to drill. Do you have a solution for this?
There are non-invasive brackets for most systems that you can attach directly to the window without drilling. Please contact customer service for more information about this.
- Do you have an installation service?
We do not have a service for installing the systems. All our systems are easy to install and provided with a clear manual (online). If you have any questions or doubts, you can always contact our customer service, they will be happy to help you.
The operation should always be 1500mm off the ground.
The controls should always be under tension by means of the Child Safety supports.
- Who is responsible for Child Safety?
This is a shared liability:
The manufacturer ensures that all parts of the product are supplied in accordance with the applicable standards. Likewise, he will provide all mandatory information and warnings on the product, assembly and operating manuals to the end user.
Lattestore and the installer are responsible for informing end users of the possible risks to children on based on the information provided by the manufacturer.
- Maintenance
Roller blinds
- How do I maintain my blinds?
You can clean the blinds with a soft brush or with a slightly damp cloth. Always check under colour specifications whether the fabric is moisture-resistant.
Roman blinds
- How can I wash roman blinds?
- You remove the system from the supports.
- Undo the velcro at the top.
- Undo the cords at the bottom.
- Remove the bottom slat.
- Remove the rods.
We recommend that you take the fabric to the dry cleaner for cleaning. You can hand wash the fabric at your own risk. We do not recommend this as the fabric may shrink.
Vertical slats
- Can I wash vertical slats?
You can clean the vertical slats with a soft brush or with a slightly damp cloth. Always check under colour specifications whether the fabric is moisture-resistant. In case of very stubborn stains, you can soak the rolled up slats in lukewarm water with detergent for 10 minutes. You can hang the slats on the rail to dry. Avoid drying near a heat source and do NOT iron the slats. Please note: the more often you wet clean the slats, the quicker you will remove the protecting layer.
Horizontal slats
- How can I clean my horizontal slats?
The slats can be cleaned with a feather duster or possibly with a slightly damp cloth.
Attention: Bamboo slats should NOT be cleaned with a damp cloth or microfibre cloth. Water can damage the slats and microfibre cloths can continue to interfere with the structure of the slat.

- Using our systems
Roller blinds
- How do I prevent the chain from jumping off my blind when operating it?
The breakaway component (chain link) is made of plastic and connects two ends of the ball chain. This breakaway chain link will cause the chain to break when a weight of 6 kg is applied to it. To prevent the chain from breaking when operating, pull on the chain above the component. This puts less pressure on the chain and allows you to operate your blind smoothly.
Roman blinds
- How do I prevent my pleated curtain from skewing?
- Leave it all the way down.
- Remove the strings from the clip in the upper part.
- Roll the strings all the way off the coil by pulling on the chain and keeping the cords under tension while doing so.
- Once the cords are completely unrolled, you can put them back between the clamps and pull them back tight by pulling the chain.
Vertical slats
- Some of the slats (or none at all) do not turn.
Make sure the hooks are open when hanging the slats. If the slats do not turn, remove the slats, open all the hooks and hang the slats back up again. If a hook is not in the correct position, you can click it out and click it back in again. If in doubt, please feel free to contact our customer service department.
Horizontal slats
- How should I operate horizontal slats?
You can tilt the slats with the orientation cords (always 2) or tilter. The remaining cords are used to pull up the slats. Grasp them all together, move them towards the middle to release the brake component and pull up or lower the slats. Move the cords back to the side to secure the package.
- My slats are stuck and I can't get them down.
Support the package and push it back a bit. Then loosen the brake component of the pull-up cords by moving the pull-up cords to the middle. Now lower the slats. If in doubt, feel free to contact our customer service department.
